Holmes Stadium (click for photograph)
The photograph shows early-day pictures of the Gatesville schools and athletic facilities, which were all located near Raby Park just a few blocks from the downtown area. The #1 building far left is the old Gatesville Elementary School, with the High School (#2 building) next to it. Building #3 is the GHS Gymnasium, which sit atop a high on the southeast edge of the park. Holmes Stadium is #4, with portions of the old stone wall and bleacher supports still standing in what is now Gatesville City Pool.
